Q: Do we need to supply food for our guide/poler on the mokoro trip?
A: No you don’t have to they are completely self sufficient, however it is a nice gesture to do so. They will make a fire for you to cook over

Q: Is ORL reachable by 2wd?
A: Yes, the roads in Botswana are tarred. Only the roads to the game reserves are not tarred.

Q: Do I need to book if I am camping?
A: No, we have a very large campsite and we don’t have designated sites so you can just pitch up, sign in and pay on arrival

Q: If I don’t have a car how easy is it to get around?
A: The combis stop outside the lodge, and ROUTE 1 will take you straight into town. We can also call you a taxi but this is more expensive. There is a local bus network around Botswana. If you are patient this is the cheap way to travel!

Q: Do I need to pay a deposit to secure my booking?
A: For accommodation – yes, you will be asked for a deposit a month before your arrival date. For activities (except safaris) you can pay on arrival. Safaris we will ask for full payment to secure the booking.

Q: How long does it take to get to Moremi?
A: Turn left out of ORL and the tar road finishes in Shorobe after about 20km. From here it is about ½ hour to the buffalo fence and into a Wildlife Management Area. It is another 1 – 1 1/2 hr to South Gate where you enter the Moremi. In total about 2 1/2 – 3 hours.

Q: Our children are very young is it still safe to take them on safari/ mokoro?
A: There is a standard regulation where kids under the age of 12 are not permitted on activities. We will take children from about 12 years. Parents need to be aware that activities such as boating/mokoros/safaris are in wildlife areas. The campsites are not fenced and it is very dangerous. Kids need to be well behaved and parents must not let their children out of sight. ORL will not accept any responsibility for accident/injury/illness/death of clients. Indemnity forms must be completed for activities.

Q: Do your accommodation prices include breakfast?
A: No they don’t. Our breakfast menu ranges from P20 – P40pp.The menu includes pancakes, omelets, muesli and a good full English with great filter coffee.

Q: When we go on an over night excursion is it safe to leave our car and valuables?
A: yes it is safe to leave your car and we will lock away your valuables.

Q: We have fresh food and meat that we need to keep in a fridge/freezer. Do you have facilities for this?
A: yes we have a freezer in our office that we can store goods for you.

Q: Do you provide towels?
A: Yes.
